beauty and activities of Lake Hope State Park.
Lake Hope State Park (in Vinton County, Ohio) a natural paradise, lies entirely within the 26,824-acre Zaleski State Forest. It is a rugged, heavily forested region traversed by steep gorges and narrow ridges. Abandoned mines, ancient mounds, and beautiful scenery provide interest and pleasures for hikers, photographers, nature lovers and historians alike at one of Ohio's most historic and scenic state parks. Watch for deer, turkeys, and beavers as you hike the trails or try your luck at fishing along the lakeshore. Visit the nature center, relax at the beach or rent a canoe to paddle the lake.
$25 per person includes campsite, meals and directions to haunted locations within the surrounding area.
Dinner will be provided on Friday and Saturday evening as well as breakfast on Saturday morning.
The menu (subject to change) will be:
*Friday Evening Dinner: Pocket Pizzas, chips
* Saturday Morning Breakfast: Pancakes, cereal, coffee, orange juice
*Saturday Evening Dinner: Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips
Beverages will
not be provided so please be sure to bring your own
No lunch
will be provided on Saturday since everyone will be out exploring the area. Feel
free to bring your own lunch or visit one of the local convenience stores.
(Please note: The nearest town or restaurant
is about a 30 minute drive.)
Arrival
time: Anytime after 4 pm on Friday, July 30th.
Friday Evening Dinner, Meet & Greet, Ghost Stories: 6 pm till ???
Saturday Morning Breakfast at 8 am.
Everyone free to explore the park and surrounding area until 6 pm Saturday
evening.
Saturday Evening Dinner at 6pm.
Ghost hunt to start at 9 pm Saturday Evening.
All campers must depart the camping area by 11 am on Sunday, August 1st.

* No
alcohol permitted
* Due to Ohio State Smoking Laws, no smoking permitted within the campsite
*No children under 13 permitted
* Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
* Everyone attending will be required to sign a waiver
* Event will be held rain or shine
* No refunds for cancellations
* This is a primitive campsite
*RVs and trailers are prohibited
*Showers and laundry facilities will be available in the main
camping area of the park
